MILPITAS, California, USA—US Republican Party Candidate Dr. Vanila Singh, who is contesting for US Congress fromDistrict -17, visited the office of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) in Milpitas City of California  where she had a hour long discussion with Satnam Singh Chahal the executive director of the Association.   Among other issues and concerns of Indian Community in the United States issue of Some detainees of Indian origin detained in El Paso Processing Center, Texas was also discussed in detail. Chahal explained to Republican leader that NAPA is only asking for the release of these detainees on parole, or bond, as per the rules and regulations of US Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE).   During the meeting Chahal cleared the air that NAPA is not advocating for the release of those Indian Origin detainees who are not qualified for their release as per the law of the land. Chahal also requested Dr Vanila Singh to approach the ICE, or other concerned authorities to transfer the cases of these detainees, from 5th circuit court to 9th circuit court, to enable the relatives and family friends to follow their cases easily who are the residents of this 9th circuit court jurisdiction.   Republican Leader Dr Vanila Singh assured the NAPA executive director that she will go through all the documents and information given to her on this case, and will try her best to resolve this issue at the earliest. After the meeting press release issued by NAPA disclosed that request of its executive director Satnam Singh Chahal is under process with ICE Headquarter in Washington, and that Chahal will leave for El Paso to meet Punjabi detainees, and ICE authorities, sometime next week after getting  permission from ICE head office in Washington.
